We're getting closer to 2020 by 2020.
124 Groups and Churches in 12 Months!
Last October we had 4 disciple-making groups/churches in San Antonio using T4T. Twelve months later there are 124. We have also trained over 425 people in 1st Generation Training and 30 in 2/3rd Generation Training. There are 220 groups and churches worldwide. Thank You Jesus!
A little vision casting: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8). This week Deb and I asked some awesome young disciple-makers, "What 5 things would you need to learn, change, do, and/or be and how long would it take to have a global influence?" So I'm posing the same question to the disciple-makers in this group! 5 Things and How long to be a global influence?
Southside Chronicles (Week 1): We started our new training church at the Cottages on Moursund last Wednesday night. Kärin and Frank were our hosts. There were 4 couples and 2 kids. All disciples of Jesus. Everyone is eager to reach the lost. We started with an Introductory Study of Jesus-Up-In-Out. The goal was to share Jesus-Up-In-Out with 5 people. Next week they are teaching the lesson to Deb and I. We are super excited. Thanks for praying!
Southside Chronicles (Week 2): This week we had the Training Church participants facilitate the lesson Deb and I taught last week. Kärin did the First Third, Sonya and Jonathan did the Second Third, and Frank facilitated the Final Third. They did a great job reproducing what we taught last week. The group also shared Jesus-Up-In-Out or the Gospel with 13 people! That is an awesome start! Next week we'll go to the neighbors and look for houses of peace with the gift and prayer method to one house that receives prayer. Then Deb and I will facilitate the First Story of Hope with the Training Church if we have time. Keep praying!
Southside Chronicles (Week 3): Last night we started our training church meeting by searching for a house of peace in the immediate neighborhood. We gave out cookies and asked for prayer requests. In 20 minutes we prayed for 3 of the neighbors and returned for our time together. Deb and I modeled the first story of hope so they can take it to the 3 potential Houses of Peace next week. Great discussion and our TC had shared with 16 people during the week. Next week they will go back out to the neighbors and share the 1st story of hope or if neighbors are not available, they will lead Deb and I through the story.
Southside Chronicles (Week 4): Tonight we started our training church with member care and worship and prayer and going back to the potential houses of peace from last week's visit. We told them we had been praying and asked how things were going. All said the week had gone a lot better. We then share the story of Zaccheus that we learned last week. Berta led Oscar to Christ! The other two HoPs were very receptive (Crystal and Doreen) We gather back together and reported what the Lord had done in our visits. Sonya then led us thru the 1st Third, Jonathan the 2nd and Kärin the Final Third. They all did a great job. Our TC had shared with 17 people during the week and another couple (Brian and Angelina) joined the TC. Next week Deb and I will be gone but the TC will meet anyways! Berta has the 1st Third, Karin the 2nd and Jonathan the Final. This little Training Church is doing awesome! Next steps - Keep praying and training and start churches in the HoPs. Below: Frank and Karin sharing Zaccheus with Crystal.

The Things Jesus is Doing in Africa
Jeff and Beth are in Côte d'Ivoire but having impact in 4 different African countries. They have seen over 300 baptisms and generational growth in the past 4 months.
John and Janelle Williams are overseeing E3 Partners in Africa and met with several country leaders to train them in T4T and CPMs.

I had a Skype session yesterday with my Yoda of church planting movements. He prefers to fly under the radar so we’ll call him “Yoda Bill.”
He followed up our conversation with this email on the topic of investing in the right people vs perfecting your methods.
Even today many CPM practitioner’s spend too much effort trying to get the strategy and methodology right rather than looking for the right person to invest in.

Especially among westerners, if some one says to me give me the method or give me the curriculum I know they have not understood that this is accomplished though persons rather than through methods. That is one of the contributing causes to my losing interest in the major debate over methodology
Bottom line South China worked because of Ying and Grace and what they brought to the equation rather than their T4T methodology.
I live close to major military training facility. One of their paradigms in creating leadership for high effectiveness Is to weed out the men then train in methods.
